Hastings Centennial Manor Evacuation Drill

Hastings Centennial Manor is planning an evacuation exercise that will take place on September 25th 2024. The exercise will commence at 10:00 AM and continue until approximately 12:00 noon.

The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care requires all long-term care homes to complete an evacuation exercise every 3 years so that staff and manor residents can be prepared in the event of an emergency.

Emergency services and first responders, Bancroft Fire Department, OPP, Community & Human Resources, Quinte Healthcare North Hastings and the Bancroft Family Health Team will be participating in the scenario with us. As a result of the exercise, Oak Street will be blocked off from Hastings Centennial Manor Service Road to the Bancroft Family Health Team facility.

Residents and visitors in the vicinity of the hospital may notice increased activity and the presence of emergency vehicles and personnel during the drill, and these personnel will be responding to the drill with lights and sirens activated. We assure the public that this is a planned exercise and there is no cause for alarm.

Thank you for your cooperation while we complete this mandatory exercise
