What is Fire Prevention?
Fire Prevention is an initiative to help educate members of the community to be fire safe and work towards minimalizing risks of incidents, fires and Carbon Monoxide dangers, among other things. Members of the Bancroft Fire Department help to teach the public how to prevent harmful fires, how to protect themselves and their households in case there is a fire or CO alarm, and what to do in emergency situations to ensure they and their families stay safe. Through demonstrations at local schools, awareness events spread throughout the year, and assisting with annual fire code inspections of a variety of businesses and residential properties, our goal is to prevent fires before they happen.
